A very warm welcome to The French Horn Steppingley; a fabulous countryside inn & restaurant set in beautiful Bedfordshire countryside.

We offer a range of menus that have a little something for everyone! Our daily menu offers a wide range of dishes including our bestselling FH Beef Burger and the Bouillabaisse. For those with a sweet tooth, the Warm Dark Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream and Dark Chocolate Sauce should certainly be on your radar.

Our Sunday Lunches are not to be missed, with an offering of Roast Rump of Beef, Roast Loin of Pork or Roast Chicken on the menu every week. If a roast dinner with all the trimmings isn’t for you, then there are plenty of other options on the menu for you.

As always, before placing your order, please inform your server if a person in your party has a food allergy or any special dietary requirements and we can ensure these are dealt with. Specific allergen information is also available upon request.

If you’re looking for a midweek jaunt to a pub in Bedfordshire, Wednesday Night is Steak Night (from 5pm) at The French Horn Steppingley, when you can enjoy a 50% discount off our Individual Steaks from the Grill Menu or check out our regularly changing specials board. Our fabulous meat all comes from Bedfordshire family butchers’ Ingle & Caves-not a bad deal if you ask us! And we always include a Vegan grill for our non meat-eating friends. Thursday is our Sausage and Mash special (from 12pm), where you simply select any of our locally sourced sausages and pair with your favourite flavoured mash, with the added bonus of a glass of wine on top.
