LARS DE WIJNGAERT
Hello, my name is Lars. I am the Owner/Director of the Orange Tulip Hospitality Ltd and Orange Rose Hospitality Ltd, the companies that run businesses and the Three Tuns Biddenham and The French Horn Steppingley respectively. I am from The Netherlands and came to the UK in 1989, looking to build a career. My background is with Hilton and other hotel companies, as well as several restaurant groups, including managing Wagamama restaurants for 16 years. Before setting up my own business I was Operations Manager, looking after 3 pubs, including my 2 current ones.
STEVE - HEAD CHEF
Steve brings passion, creativity, and a deep love for fresh, seasonal ingredients to The French Horn kitchen. With years of experience in both classic and modern British cooking, he leads the team with a calm confidence and a sharp eye for detail — crafting dishes that celebrate local produce and honest, hearty flavours. Whether he’s creating new specials or perfecting our much-loved favourites, Steve is dedicated to delivering food that’s full of flavour, thoughtfully prepared, and always memorable.
AARON - MULTI-SITE MANAGER
With a career built on a genuine passion for hospitality, after being born into the industry with both parents owning pubs. Aaron brings experience, and heart to his role as Multi-Site Manager at The French Horn and The Three Tuns. Aaron is responsible for overseeing daily operations. From mentoring staff to fine-tuning the guest experience, his focus is always on consistency, quality, and community. Whether he’s welcoming regulars, shaping menus, or planning the next big event, Aaron’s leadership ensures both pubs remain true to their roots while continuously raising the bar.
DANIEL - MANAGER
Daniel is the Manager at The French Horn in Steppingley, where he brings a passion for hospitality and a commitment to excellence in guest experience. With a strong background in team leadership and operational efficiency, Daniel ensures the seamless day-to-day running of the
establishment. His approachable management style and attention to detail contribute to the warm,
welcoming atmosphere that The French Horn is known for. Dedicated to high standards and continuous improvement, Daniel plays a key role in maintaining the venue's reputation as a top destination for food, drink, and memorable service in Bedfordshire.
